Unit Description:
2B ICU is a 19-bed neuro ICU. Serving CVA, neurosurgical, carotidsurgeryand carotid stent patients. This unit supports our comprehensive stroke program if the patient needs critical care placement.In addition, the unit cares for surgical post-op, cardiac interventions, sepsis, generalsurgeryand complexcareICU patients.

Job Description:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care teammember:
Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures.
Performs routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certificationrequiredor successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
Must provide a letter from their school verifying the completion of theirfirst yearclinicals.
BasicLifeSupport- Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon’thave it already.
