Hiring Salary Range : $ 100,000.00 - 110,000.00
This range represents the hiring range. Salaries are determined individually depending on skills and experience. You will also be eligible to an annual bonus, employee share investment program (ESIP), Pension, Benefits, Railroad Retirement Benefits (RRB) and other perks.

Job Summary
The Officer Training and Development - Transportation US is responsible for acting as a safety leader to ensure employees are trained to perform within regulatory standards. The incumbent is also accountable for ensuring the safety and efficiency of customers' goods deliveries. The role requires carrying out ongoing employee training and development in order to maximize knowledge transfer and employee performance.
Main Responsibilities
Training and Development
Train Transportation employees on operating rules and instructions, job tasks, and safe work procedures, with a focus on hazard awareness and exposure reductionInstruct, mentor, and coach employees on various topics such as United States Operating Rules (USOR), CN's Life Book, safe work procedures, and life critical rule understanding and applicationEvaluate employee progress and ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and standardsMaintain training facility equipment, job aids, and schedule maintenance recordsComplete performance and qualifying documents as well as ensure all training events are captured in the Learning Management System (LMS)Maintain a comprehensive training plan and schedule to meet client expectationsSupport training material development by working with the Training AnalystSupport the development of Transportation employees through regular field mentoringParticipate in field audits and safety observations
Working ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The incumbent must be available to work shifts and weekends when necessary. The role requires significant travel (over 50%) to deliver trainings.
