JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Ops PMO Manager is to lead and manage a team of project managers that work cross-functionally to organize and implement new customer and new product introduction and PMO activities on the LFF(Large Form Factor) site in Memphis. The purpose of this organization is to efficiently leverage the resources through coordinated planning, communication, and alignment of cross-functional teams, to ensure the proper documentation, launching and customer satisfaction as per established and agreed targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading the Project Management TeamManage key customer projects; serve as interface between internal teams and the customers to resolve both technical and logistical issuesCollaborate with customer (internal or external) from requirements gathering through product acceptanceStaff, lead, and manage a team that has responsibility for New Customer Introduction, new product introduction, and product transfersStaff, lead, and manage a team that has responsibility to enable new buildings (Greenfields and Brown fields).Align the project team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the projectDefine, refine and maintain clarity on roles & responsibilities for the team and business partners (engineering, operations)Provide a source of reference and training for Project Management covering processes, tools, metrics and reportingDrive well defined processes and methodologies that strive to optimize the team effectiveness, while delivering successful projects on schedule and within budgetIdentify the goals, objectives, and scope of NPI projects while working with relevant BU and Operations staffWork within the defined standards and procedures as set out by organization and the customer to successfully introduce new productsWorks with local Project Manager and/or Regional Manager Project Office in deploying strategies and tools, besides reporting site PM performanceProvide regular and consistent communication between the launch team, the business unit, and the customerIdentify potential risks and make resolution suggestion through the escalation processOpen and regular communication of priorities and status of projects with Operations Management and site leadershipParticipates managing internal in-process material, samples allocation, and system logisticsManage the monthly operational project reviewsManage the weekly project reviews for the Project Management organizationResponsible for forecasting functional area budget (when applicable) and HR needs for current and future needsComply and follow all procedures within the company security policyMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedJOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated Leadership and Management capabilitiesProject Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desirableKnowledge of organization's operating policies and procedures requiredKnowledge of organization's culture and guiding principlesPrevious experience in manufacturing environment: Engineering, Test, Quality, Planning, Materials, managing Products called LFA(Large Form Assemblies).Prior experience in customer interfaceStrong operational and financial knowledge requiredSubstantial knowledge of Jabil and demonstrated ability to leverage organizationConsultative skills (ability to understand true customer needs)Good communications skillsDistinctive problem solving leaderShould have the following personal characteristics: strong leader, professional, hard-charging, detail-oriented, reliable, calm under fire, creative, with a can-do attitudeAutomotive/ Medical background experience as requiredProficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills requiredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree required (Supply Chain Management or Engineering)Minimum 5-7 years work-related experience required in a supervisory/management role andMinimum 3 years project management experience or related disciplineOr an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience Jabil, including its subsidiaries, is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
