WHAT YOU’LLDO
The Overnight Kitchen Mechanicis responsible formaintainingand repairing kitchen equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted resort operations. This role supports the reliability and functionality of back-of-house systems through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, andtimelyrepairs during overnightoperations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment (gas, electric, steam, and refrigeration), ensuring safe and efficient operation
Perform preventive maintenance andcomponentreplacements (motors, thermostats, heating elements, control boards) to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime
Install and commission new equipment, completing electrical, gas, and water connectionsin accordance withsafety standards and manufacturer guidelines
Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to accurately troubleshoot and resolve issues
Support broader facility maintenance byassistingwith repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, laundry, and guest areas
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring clear communication andtimelyresolution
Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering areas, including managing grease traps and plumbing concerns
Collaborate with culinary and operational teams to support service needs, whileanticipatingmaintenance requirements and coordinating parts and supplies
Respond to emergency situations such as power failures or safety incidentsin accordance withprocedures
Transport and manage tools, parts, and materials using company vehicles as needed

WHAT TOBRING
Successful candidate mustpossesslegal work authorization in United States
The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours adayand scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability isrequired.While this role ispredominately overnight,candidatemay alsobe requiredtoparticipatein day shifts.
Hawaii Driver’sLicenseand Drivers Abstractisrequiredfor this role
Ability to stand for extended periods,lift upto 50lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
Hasrelevant certifications or licenses, such as industry-recognized credentials like Universal Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical, Kitchen, Carpentry, Laundry, Painting,etc.
Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance
Preferred 3-5+ years of direct, hands-on experience servicing commercial kitchen or commercial refrigeration equipment withproficiencyin mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of commercial kitchen and hospitality operations.
