Part-Time Veterinary Assistant

Akaal Pet Hospital is expanding from a 1 to 2 doctor practice and is seeking Part-Time Veterinary Assistants to join their team. The position offers a salary range of $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Schedule: Part-time, up to three 8-hour shifts per week, must be willing to work on Saturdays. Closed Sundays and major holidays.
• Location: Citrus Heights, CA.

Responsibilities and Qualifications include:

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Ability to handle and restrain cats and dogs properly.
• Perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as ordered by doctors.
• Collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic procedures including digital radiology.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical care support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
