We are looking for an experienced People Operations Manager / Team Lead to join Fundraise Up's global PeopleOps function. This role involves managing a high-impact team of up to five members and driving complex PeopleOps projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include strategic program management, overseeing global HR operations, employee lifecycle, cross-border compliance, and leading key projects such as compensation frameworks and HRIS optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a PeopleOps team of up to five members
- Own and deliver high-priority PeopleOps projects including compensation frameworks, EOR transitions, compliance rollouts, and HRIS optimization
- Act as a subject-matter expert on global mobility, immigration, and compliance
- Partner with business leaders, finance, and legal on complex cross-border employment and contractor conversions
- Build scalable processes, policies, and tools to support rapid company growth
- Anticipate compliance risks and proactively design mitigation plans
- Drive continuous improvement in employee experience, data accuracy, and process efficiency
- Be a hands-on problem solver in a high-growth startup environment
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in PeopleOps / HR, with at least 1+ year in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing PeopleOps/HR teams in fast-growing startups or scale-ups
- Deep expertise in global mobility, relocation, immigration, and compliance in Europe
- Strong knowledge of cross-border employment structures (entities, EOR, contractors, conversions)
- Track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects under tight timelines
- Highly adaptive and able to pivot priorities while maintaining execution quality
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and time zones
- Fluent in Russian and English
