The Personal Banker SAFE Act is an entry level position responsible for assisting in sales, products, or service activities alongside the customer service team. The goal is to foster customer loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business credit requests under $250K, refer larger lending opportunities, cross-sell treasury and related small business products
- Build referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and Member Get Member (MGM) Program
- Assist in strategies to grow the small business client base and implement sales plans for targeted customers
- Provide client services including outbound and inbound calls to acquire new and deepen existing relationships through cross-selling relevant products
- Coach and guide Tellers and branch staff on products, programs, client needs, and referrals
- Recognize client transaction needs, educate on all service and digital channels, leverage technology and marketing tools to identify opportunities and present product offers
- Understand and comply with Citibank policies, standards, and procedures
- Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard firm's reputation, drive compliance with laws and policies, apply ethical judgment, and manage/report control issues transparently
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies
- NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, university degree, or equivalent experience
