What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage a portfolio of our Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs (multiple locations available). This position requires experience with developing and delivering Energy Efficiency (EE), electrification and/or decarbonization solutions as well as team and partner management of various functional groups (internal and external), client, and stakeholders. The Portfolio Manager will build and maintain relationships for our state and local government clients. This individual will also lead the planning and implementation of energy efficiency rebate programs.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Lead coordination with Guidehouse market teams and the national team to support the development of EE, electrification and/or decarbonization solutions that can be scaled across our the Guidehouse client base.
- Support the development and shaping of opportunities in collaboration with the market teams to meet bookings goals.
- Lead development and pricing for solution (pre-sales calls, project scope definition, RFP responses, client presentations, statement of work development, resource planning, budget estimating).
- Participate in contract negotiation and provide input during SOW development and changes/enhancements.
- Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams of 20+ people as part of program execution.
- Build, manage and maintain client relationships, resolve project issues, identify and recommend solutions to project risks.
- Manage sub-contractors or vendors including deliverables, resources and budgets.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions align with client program goals and business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project and client management skills.
- Provide feedback on future solution needs and enhancements.
- Develop understanding of program design and delivery best practices.
- Forecast and track portfolio-level budgets and resource planning.
- Train teams on planning and implementation best practices for specific solutions.
What You Will Need:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to client engagements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Associate Director level requires 7+ years professional experience.
- Experience in energy industry and/or state and local energy programs.
- Understanding of energy efficiency measures for residential and multi-family housing.
- Knowledge of federal, state, or local rebate/grant programs.
- Knowledge of low-to-moderate income energy or state/federal programs.
- Economic analysis skills for business cases on energy efficiency.
- Proven track record meeting multi-million dollar business targets.
- Leadership experience managing, mentoring, and coaching teams.
- Project management skills and techniques.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, startup mentality.
- Ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Passion for customer satisfaction and meeting objectives.
- Ability to travel and work onsite at Guidehouse or client locations.
Nice To Have:
- Preference for candidates near Guidehouse offices in TX, CO, VA, or SC.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Management consulting experience in energy industry excluding Oil & Gas.
- Business development experience in energy or state/local government energy programs.
The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on multiple factors including skill, experience, certifications, and business needs.
