What You Will Do
- Work on the sound tuning, acoustic architecture design, and ANC system design for consumer headphone products, ensuring target sound quality and ANC performance.
- Define acoustic requirements, develop acoustic concepts and specifications, and collaborate with relevant cross‑functional teams.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to review design proposals and assess technical feasibility.
- Plan and execute acoustic architecture validation before tooling kickoff.
- Support the evaluation of new platforms, materials, and acoustic technologies.
- Conduct acoustic verification, measurements, and final sound approval.
- Provide acoustic design guidance and technical support to suppliers.
- Assist sound quality engineers in establishing and maintaining sound‑quality control processes
What You Need
- Strong hearing ability with the capability to accurately evaluate audio product sound quality.
- Solid knowledge of headphone hardware, software, DSP fundamentals, and overall system design.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a headphone acoustic system engineer in new product development.
- Good spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross‑functional teams across different cultures.
What is Nice to Have
- Driver component background
- Algorithm background of headphone related.
- Working knowledge of VOIP, Skype, and similar telecommunications technologies
- Working knowledge of handsets and headsets used for telecommunications.
- Good temperament and ability to work with suppliers and customers from different cultures.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing complex defects.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes commonly used in acoustics and electronics assemblies.
- Build environment of trust, high performance and engagement by establishing clear goals and a commitment to feedback, development and recognition
- Champion a better, faster and simpler way of doing things
- Apply original thinking and continuous improvement to processes, products, systems or services and manage change to better serve customer needs
