To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineering Technical located in Aguascalientes
Example: Reporting to the SMT Process Engineer or Process Engineering Manager, the SMT Process Technician role is responsible for providing technical support to electronic manufacturing lines to ensure the stability, quality, and efficiency of solder paste printing, component placement, inspection, and reflow soldering processes. The position involves analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing process parameters, as well as identifying and resolving manufacturing defects and process-related issues. The SMT Process Technician participates in new product introductions (NPI), engineering change validations, continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Additionally, the role supports compliance with quality, productivity, and safety standards through process documentation, operator training, and daily production support, ensuring that current and future manufacturing operations meet organizational objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
• Monitor SMT production lines to ensure processes are running efficiently and meeting quality standards.
• Provide technical support to production personnel and assist in resolving process-related issues
• Verify and adjust process parameters for solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow soldering.
• Support machine setup, product changeovers, and line startups.
•Troubleshoot and help resolve SMT defects and equipment-related issues.
•Review SPI and AOI inspection results and support corrective actions as needed.
•Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
•Assist with process validation, engineering trials, and new product introductions (NPI)..
•Collect and analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities.
