Drive the strategic development of the Villeroy & Boch Group product portfolio to become the recognised market and brand leader in its chosen sectors in the market by being the portfolio expert and champion, supported by an in-depth understanding of the market.
Set market strategies based on customer/ market requirements and actionable plans
Drive new development projects internally and externally
Main Position Tasks :
1. Defining and executing the short to mid term (2-5 yrs) product portfolio strategy and plan (incl lifecycle mgmt.) in assigned markets
Responsibility for turnover and profitability development within the key markets
Identify growth opportunities in assigned markets to develop a market-specific medium to long-term product strategy and harmonize it with production and supply chain Alignment within the team
Active study and analysis of market and competitive products for benchmarking, and to define actions to optimise turnover, market share and profitability.
Gathers market knowledge about market standards, requirements and feeds them into NPS
2. PLC management and Product Performance Management
Link between technical product development, Sales, Marketing and SCM. Provides input about necessary product improvements, innovations and sales activities.
Adjustment of products in their lifecycle (performance, design, function, quality, costs)
Reporting & Performance mgmt
Responsible to maintain maser data and product information (incl PIM etc)
3. SoP alignment
Responsible for annual / project budget & demand planning in consultation with sales team.
Responsible for rolling demand planning for the market in consultation with sales team.
4. Product Marketing
Provide training to internal organisation and customers for new and existing products. Document trainings (video etc)
Identify compelling story and USP´s
Proactive sell -out support of customers
Support marketing & communications on new product launches and manage related processes, collaterals for new products, and to (a) develop effective launch promotional plans and (b) to develop materials & conduct training for sales team.
5. New Product Development
Steers the product development and launch of new products and improvement
Provides feedback on businesss plan volumes / prices
Aligns with different departments /countries
Required Qualification
Education :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Development / Business or a related field
Type and length of necessary job experience :
At least 3-5 years of experience in a related field
Specific Knowledge (only essential specific knowledge; e.g. language skills if mandatory) :
Excellent English skills, strong analytical skills, good knowledge of all MS Office applications
