The Opportunity:
Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Lodz and shape the future of energy. As an R&DMechanicalEngineer, you will work oncutting-edgedistribution transformerand power convertertechnologies in a dynamic, international environment.
You’llbe part of a collaborative global team, contributing to the full R&D lifecycle—from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical specifications and market demands. This role offers hands-on experience, technical growth, and the chance to make a real impactinthe energy transition.
Howyou'llmake an impact:
Propose and analyze innovativeideasforthemechanicaldesignoptimization and thermal analysisof next generation distribution transformersand power convertersto fulfill the challenging technical requirements for new markets.
Contribute to all stages of product developmentincludingmechanical designconcepts, models and drawings,thermal simulationsas well asprototype testing and final productization,by interacting with engineering and manufacturing departmentsglobally.
Take ownership of work packages and deliver results using a structured approach
Document your work effectively, obtainconclusionsand derive the design rules of the validated solutions.
Engage constructively and collaborate in global team settings, sharing your technical knowledge to support colleagues in achievingtimelyand high-quality results.
Contribute to intellectual property and risk management activities in R&D
Provide technical support to factories,salesand customers.
Your Background:
MSc or PhD inMechanicalEngineering, ideally with experience in R&D within a business environment
Design experience with liquid-filledtransformers,electric cabinets,basic knowledgeofpower converterdesign is a plus
Experience in2D and3D CAD systems usage, preferably Creo Parametric, CAD models parametrization,SOLIDWORKS
Experience withthermal and coolingissues as well asCFD simulation SW tools, such as ANSYSandCOMSOL
Experience with ERP and PLM systems
Experience with strength and vibration issues as well asselectionof structural and insulation materials
Analytical thinking and ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and international teams
Awareness of business processesand technical standardsrelated to product development
Strong communicationskills in English
