TheMicrobiologistwillprimarilybe responsible forcontributing to thedevelopmentand/ ordeploymentoftechnologiesandproductsthat prevent microbiological growth in cooling water applications. The role will also encompass a significant amountofcustomer (field / application)support forindustrialwater applications.We are seekingacandidatewith a strong technical backgroundandpracticalfield/applicationexperience,whoisself-motivated,hasa desire forcollaborationandis acreative problem solver.

The main responsibilities of the role areto:
Plan and perform relevant experiments and interpret results to develop solutions to complexmicrobiologicalproblemsrelated toEcolab’s Data Center coolant portfolio.
Supportthefielddeployment of products and solutions that prevent microbial growth in different cooling water applications.
Provide customer support tocooling water (and other industrial water)field applicationsin the context of microbiological preventionandcontrolas well asremediationtechniques forbiofouling.
This involves:
Being a key technical contributor on multipleprojectsbyconducting both lab and field tests, ensuring that data is analyzed,documentedandresults communicatedin a clear and concise manner.
Contribute to the development of the application guidelinesand operational windowsfor new products and/or technologies.
Collaboratingwith a global team,various functionsas well as potential 3rdpartieson the development of technologies that meet customer needs.
Provide insightontechnical hurdles or risksin innovation development and brainstorm approaches and strategies to overcome the hurdles.
Identifyingand understandingcustomer needs and challengeswithin cooling water applications in the globalhigh techindustry(through field visits, engagement withcustomers andindustry experts)and using these learnings and experience tobuild theEUinnovation roadmap.
Provide advanced technical support to sales and customers which includes but not limited to, technical training, application guidance, technical exchange,trouble-shooting, field visits etc.
Qualificationsand experience:
Bachelor’s degree inMicrobiologyor relatedfieldwith ideally >1-2years ofindustry/fieldexperience
Strong understanding ofmicrobiologicalanalyses and processes.
Understanding ofknowledge of cooling water biocidal productsis anadvantage
Experiencein the GlobalHigh Techindustry(and associated cooling technologies such as Direct to Chip cooling,Adiabatic)is an advantage
Self-starter with great initiativeand ‘hands-on’ approach
Good communicationskills;withthe ability to deliver complex information in an easy-to-understand format
Creative problem-solving skills
Works well under pressure
Proficiencyin English (both written and verbal)required
Willingness and ability to travel 10 % of the time
