Schedule Details/Additional Information:
- This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Based on eligibility.
- Work every Saturday & Sunday - Days.
- Base rate plus $11/hr weekend premium.
Pay Range: $34.90 - $52.35 per hour
Major Responsibilities:
- Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care engaging patients and families from admission to post-discharge.
- Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with care teams.
- Promote a culture of safety and evaluate patient and unit outcomes continuously.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely following clinical protocols.
- Communicate effectively, provide feedback, resolve conflicts, and foster team collaboration.
- Pursue professional development, complete education requirements, and maintain certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practice ethical decision-making.
- Delegate appropriately to other nursing staff and assistants.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
- May be required to float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
- Demonstrate age-appropriate knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across the lifespan.
Licensure, Registration, and Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Active unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s) with privilege to practice.
Education Required:
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Experience Required:
- No formal RN experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with computer functions such as electronic records.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, bend, and twist frequently during workday.
- Ability to push/pull forces and perform sliding transfers with assistance.
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, and fine motor skills required.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as restraints and verbal de-escalation if needed.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials and communicable diseases; protective equipment required.
- Must respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
