Major Responsibilities:
- Uses the nursing process to assess the patient needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care including patient and family involvement.
- Recognizes changes in patient condition and takes appropriate actions, collaborating with healthcare team members.
- Implements patient safety strategies and customizes patient education.
- Coordinates discharge planning collaboratively using evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.
- Evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and supports governance to improve processes and outcomes.
- Demonstrates communication, conflict resolution, leadership, and delegation skills within care teams.
- Promotes safety culture by identifying and addressing patient safety risks and reporting safety events timely.
- Applies ethical decision-making and respects interdisciplinary collaboration to create individualized care plans.
- Participates in quality/process improvements and professional development activities.
- Must demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge and skills in accordance with department standards.
Licensure and Certification:
- Registered Nurse license from the practicing state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
Education:
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience.

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), carry (up to 40 lbs), push/pull force up to 30 lbs, perform sliding transfers, and use foot pedals.
- Exposure to chemical, biological hazards requiring protective gear.
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, touch, and fine motor skills necessary for IV insertion and equipment use.
Schedule:
Full time, 3 shifts/week from 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Compensation:
Hourly pay range between $37.50 - $56.25.
