Hayward Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are expanding and need an RVT ready to work at the highest level of their training and license.
Salary and Schedule
- Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Schedule: Full-time, five 8-hour shifts per week. Closed Sunday and major holidays.
- Location: 26775 Hayward Blvd #O, Hayward, CA 94542.

Who You Are
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.
- 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
- Passion for working with animals and their owners.
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform dental prophylaxis with radiographs (extractions not required).
- Skills in IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages, and splints.
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, and pre/post-operative care.
- Laboratory skills including cytology and use of Idexx laboratory equipment.
- Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.
- All other duties allowable by law for an RVT.
