The opportunity

For our research centre in Kraków, Poland, we are looking for a Research Scientist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to power electronics development. In this role, you will focus on accelerating design, simulation, control, and validation processes of complex power electronics systems using AI-driven tools and methodologies. As a part of Hitachi Energy’s global research organization, you will join a dynamic, motivated, and multidisciplinary team where you will contribute to the development of AI-enabled methods and software workflows that improve how complex power electronics systems such as HVDC, STATCOM, SVC, and grid-connected converter platforms are designed, optimized, and validated.

You will be based onsite at our Research Center in Kraków, Poland. Strong local ecosystem in the field, combined with global research and business unit interfaces, enables rapid ideation, prototyping, and validation of AI-driven engineering solutions with real-world impact.
