Job Description:

RN-ER-Full-Time

• Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process.
• Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Must possess ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students.
• All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
• Ability to identify the scope of practice issues, prioritization, critical thinking, effective decision making, communication, interpersonal relationship skills, delegation and team leading skills consistent with the level of professional growth.
• Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.
• Certifications based on the unit worked:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Pals
  • BCA
  • CPI
  • 12 Lead EKG
  • NIH Stroke
