Roadway Engineer

Job Description

AtkinsRalis is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Roads & Highways Team. This is an entry-level position based in Bartow, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in developing conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plan work by completing defined tasks.
• Support development of alternative highway designs for public hearing materials and environmental documents.
• Prepare materials for reports and permit applications, including information gathering, rough outlines, and graphic presentations.
• Assist with calculation of quantities for construction cost estimates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-2 years of experience in a related technical field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree holders may have no required experience.
• Technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Motivation to train and perform tasks using MicroStation CAD and design software such as GeoPak, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
• Engineering Intern (EI) certification required.
