Roadway Engineer

Job Description

AtkinsRalis is seeking an entry-level Roadway Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Team based in Miami, FL.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plans completing well-defined tasks.
• Support development of alternative highway designs for environmental document preparation.
• Prepare material for reports, permit applications, and graphic presentations.
• Assist with construction cost estimate quantity calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years experience since obtaining B.S. degree.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in transportation.
• Technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Motivation to use MicroStation CAD and design software such as GEOPAK, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
• Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred; desire to obtain P.E.

Expected compensation range is $75,000 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
