Senior Assistant Manager, Matriculation and Candidature

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey for all students.

This position sits with the Office of Academic Services (OAS), which is one of the functions within SASD. OAS plays a key role in advancing NTU’s educational goals by implementing and administering academic policies established by its academic body. The team provides academic services to students throughout their journey, from matriculation to graduation. This role offers the opportunity to support graduate student administration processes (i.e. matriculation, student records and candidature-related matters), requires the candidate to work closely with stakeholders across the institution, and contribute to continuous improvements in systems and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end student matriculation processes, including planning, system setup, and coordination with relevant offices to ensure smooth onboarding.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrolment data and student particulars, to support operational and reporting needs.

• Administer student requests such as leave of absence, programme withdrawal, re-admission and candidature extension, ensuring compliance with policies and timely processing.

• Support changes in students’ programme or mode of study, in collaboration with Schools.

• Respond to data requests and ensure proper handling of student information in accordance with data protection policy.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve student cases and support consistent service delivery.

• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen efficiency and governance in student administration.

Requirements

• Degree in any discipline

• At least 4 – 6 years of working experience in administrative/ clerical roles

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

• Experience working with databases or student information systems

• Candidates with working knowledge of data tools (e.g. Denodo) will have added advantage
