As the Engineer Steel Outfitting Outer Decks at Damen Naval, you will focus on outfitting engineering for outer decks including lifeboat decks, anchor & mooring arrangements and calculations. Collaborate within a team of engineers applying expertise to ensure functionality, maintainability, and ergonomic design of deck arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute engineering activities using 2D and 3D CAD systems such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Develop arrangements, lists, fabrication/mounting drawings, and calculations.
Skills & Experience
- Secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) related to outfitting discipline.
- At least two years experience in engineering outfitting systems.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Knowledge of Class and Statutory regulations, particularly maritime or offshore industries.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Permanent EU citizenship required; security screening applies.
