Responsibilities:
Deliver all aspects of accounting including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and general ledger accountingEnsures timely and accurate client communication and deliverablesReview payroll prior to processing and selected A/P transactionsSetup and maintain schedules for property tax and insurancePerforms periodic review and account reconciliationsPrepares journal entries and supporting documentationPrepares fixed asset depreciation schedulesMonitors quality, verifies information, and checks work of department staff for accuracyManage overall project needs, internal communication, training, and consultancy within budgetServe as main point of contact between Baker Tilly and client ensuring successful project deliveryQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field requiredMinimum 3 years of accounting experience required; experience in real estate and/or property management strongly preferredStrong technology skill using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and QuickBooks required; Yardi, Intacct, NetSuite, and other cloud accounting tool experience preferredAbility to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to approach complex tasks or problems creatively while knowing when to escalate critical issues to managementCapabilities reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial and legal documents with an ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or the business communityStrong interpersonal and relationship building skills
