We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be joining our Manufacturing Engineering team in the Transformer Business Unit.
This role is based on site in Temelli.
What you'll do:
As a Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a key role in driving sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across manufacturing operations, with a particular focus on powder coating and surface finishing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the powder coating/painting line to enhance process stability, product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Identify, investigate, and resolve manufacturing and quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Analysis, Thought Maps, and Corrective Action processes.
Drive improvements in key operational metrics, including DPPM, FPY, throughput, efficiency, scrap, and rework, through trend analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Analyze process data, quality trends, and performance metrics to identify recurring losses and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities.
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping workshops, and Lean Manufacturing projects to eliminate waste and optimize process flow.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve PFMEAs to proactively identify and mitigate process risks before they impact production or customers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support operational excellence initiatives.
Implement manufacturing process improvements that increase capacity, reduce variation, improve product quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Lead efforts to reduce equipment downtime by conducting root cause investigations, implementing preventive actions, and improving equipment reliability and OEE in partnership with maintenance teams.
Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks to improve workflow, increase throughput, and optimize resource utilization.
Apply Six Sigma methodologies and statistical tools such as control charts, regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and process capability studies to reduce process variation and improve performance.
Monitor and improve powder coating and plating process performance, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality management requirements.
Develop, implement, and sustain standard work practices, visual management systems, and manufacturing best practices.
Deliver training and coaching programs to strengthen employee capabilities in Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving, quality tools, risk management, and operational excellence.
Act as a change agent by engaging employees at all levels-from shop floor teams to senior leadership-to foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.
Support strategic Operational Excellence initiatives through the effective application of Lean, Six Sigma, ELSS, and EQMS methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
BSC, MSC, Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer
Minimum 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
Preferably a graduate of Chemical Engineering.
Skills:
Hands-on experience in powder coating, painting, and plating processes, including process controls and inspection methods.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence tools such as VSM, One-Piece Flow, Standard Work, Visual Management, Waste Elimination, and Kaizen.
Proven experience leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on DPPM, FPY, OEE, defect reduction, downtime reduction, productivity improvement, bottleneck elimination, and process optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills with practical application of 8D, RCA, Fishbone, 5 Whys, Thought Maps, and CAPA methodologies.
Experience using quality and statistical tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Capability Studies, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, and Trend Analysis.
Experience in Risk Management, including PFMEA development, risk assessment, mitigation planning, and action tracking.
Practical knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis tools to reduce process variation and improve manufacturing performance.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and implement sustainable improvements.
Experience leading Kaizen events, Lean workshops, and Operational Excellence projects delivering measurable quality, productivity, and cost improvements.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, customer-specific quality requirements, and quality management systems.
Familiarity with ELSS, EQMS, and other Operational Excellence and Quality Management tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and data analysis applications.
