We are seeking a Operations & Maintenance Specialist (Water/Wastewater) to join our Water Infrastructure team (role can be based out of the following offices, Alexandria, VA, Atlanta, GA, or Orlando, FL).

How will you contribute to the team?
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication. Create graphical deliverables in the form of training documents, reports, standard operating procedures, and other related documentation.
- Apply specialized knowledge necessary to manage the complex systems involved in water and wastewater treatment.
- Apply specialized knowledge of maintenance practices to advise owners, operators and engineers on techniques to increase effectiveness of maintenance strategies and reduce asset failure risks.
- Use technology such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), water information management systems, condition monitoring and process troubleshooting to support personnel.
- Determine and communicate data requirements for CMMS.
- Apply asset management lifecycle planning expertise to solve specific infrastructure asset-related problems.
- Develop operational documents like standard operating procedures, training materials, and condition assessment reports.
- Write reports, participate in presentations, discuss deliverables with clients, and execute quality-control checks.
- Mentor staff in O&M and asset management capabilities.
- Coordinate with various departments to complete recommendations, ensure understanding, document requirements, and execute implementation plans timely.
- Recognize business opportunities and develop relationships from pre-positioning to proposals. Assist in project scope and fee development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
What will you contribute? (requirements)
- Valid operator certificate or license from state or US territory in water or wastewater operations.
- College degree (A.S. or B.S.) preferred.
- Minimum six years experience in water/wastewater operation or maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
- Expert understanding of CMMS database components and usage.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Strong team player with customer interface abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Analyze data to evaluate process performance and communicate complex info clearly.
- Valid driver license and willingness to travel for site visits, assessments, meetings, and training.

Expected compensation range is between $102,000 - $169,000 annually OR $49.00 - $81.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and location.
