This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. Your job is to deeply understand our customers - how they work, the decisions they make, the problems they face, and what makes them choose CB Insights - and turn that understanding into differentiated messaging, stronger customer acquisition, and deeper adoption of our intelligence.
You will own product marketing from customer insight through go-to-market execution. That includes product messaging and positioning, competitive intelligence, launches, adoption programs, and translating customer needs back into the product organization.

- Understand how customers evaluate CB Insights against competitors and alternatives, and translate those insights into actionable guidance for Product, Sales, and Marketing.

Product Messaging
- Own product and audience messaging, value propositions, and use cases.
- Turn complex intelligence, data, and analyst judgment into clear customer value tied to the decisions our buyers need to make.
- Close the gap between how the market perceives CB Insights and the value weve built by clearly positioning our proprietary intelligence and expert judgment for AI-powered workflows.
- Partner directly with Sales Enablement and customer-facing teams to build the tools and resources needed to drive customer acquisition and adoption.
Intelligence Adoption
- Partner with Product to define the audience, customer problem, use case, positioning, messaging, and adoption strategy for our intelligence
- Own go-to-market strategy for driving awareness and adoption of both new and existing CB Insights datasets and intelligence
- Develop the messaging, assets, enablement, and distribution plans needed to help customers understand where our intelligence fits into their workflows and why they should use it, whether in the CB Insights platform or through the AI tools they already use.
- Measure adoption, gather feedback, and use what we learn to improve messaging, programs, launches, and product strategy.
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of B2B product marketing experience focused on data, intelligence, or enterprise software products to senior business buyers.

We are what we repeatedly do. By living the principles outlined below, we will build an outstanding company and do insanely great work.
- Solve customer problems. Its our highest calling. Designing a product? Start from the customer problem it solves. Updating our sales process? Flip it around, and simplify the customer buying process.
- Think BIG! Start small. Great changes start with a first step. Find it. Take it. Build a system around what works. This is the secret to bringing a vision to life.
- Go and see with your own eyes. Meet the customer, use the product, talk to the field. Great systems arent built from afar.
- Priorities: Choose one. Leaders give the gift of clarity. They find the most important thing and do it. Max power. Top speed.
- Danger zones:
- Bureaucracy. May the best ideas and execution win.
- Complexity. Leaders use frameworks and systems to simplify.
- No commitment. Leaders dont compromise just to get along. Debate. Disagree. But once a decision is made, commit.
- Leaving whats important unsaid or undone. No circling back.
- Data informs. Insight transforms. Pull the thread. Ask why. Leaders are curious. They use what they learn to create clarity.
- Insist on excellence. Leaders set high standards and overcome obstacles. They do the kind of work theyre excited to share with the world.
- Live off the land. Leaders creatively use resources already available to them especially AI to execute and automate their work.
- Good judgment. Leaders have it. Where it comes from: insight, listening, first-hand experience. How to apply it: carefully on big, hard to reverse decisions. Swiftly on limited, easy to reverse ones.
- Help others. Leaders know were building this together.
