Senior Software Systems Engineer - Perception

Latitude AI (lat.ai) is building the future of Fords autonomy roadmap to make travel safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone. Bringing this vision to scale, our fully in-house developed hands-free ADAS platform will debut on Fords all-new Universal Electric Vehicle in 2027.

Meet the team:

The Latitude AI Perception Systems Engineering Team brings all the components of the autonomy stack together. We work very closely with the software teams to verify all of the functions of the autonomy stack from sensing and perception through prediction and motion planning.

What youll do:

• Develop Systems Architectures, Requirements and Verification plans for Perception Functions
• Contribute to the Software Architecture and Requirements
• Define use cases and bounding scenarios that define the limits of perception capabilities
• Design and Build Metrics and Tooling for Verification and Testing of Perception software and hardware
• Act as a Cross-Functional expert in Software, Algorithms and Hardware related to Perception Functions
• Apply detailed statistical knowledge to estimate system and functional level performance
• Analyze and root cause on-car results to identify performance improvements in a >lat.ai!

  The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $179,200 - $268,800 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitudes annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
