Role Overview:

Glean is seeking driven engineers to solve cutting-edge problems in data and AI security and governance. This role requires collaboration with product managers and designers to develop novel solutions balancing engineering constraints with customer needs, producing intuitive, reliable experiences to keep users safe.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee greenfield features from inception through implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing development.
• Provide leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand problems and create elegant solutions.
• Architect data pipelines, AI models, and REST APIs with stable, scalable server-side implementations maximizing product flexibility for evolving requirements.
• Write robust, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of product engineering experience.
• Experience developing enterprise security products.
• Experience using AI/ML in products.
• BA/BS in computer science or related degree.
• Experience building and shipping scalable frontend and backend features.
• Customer-focused and cross-functional team player.
• Proactive and positive attitude with ownership of tasks and features.
• User-centric and empathetic product development approach.
• Experience authoring REST APIs; OpenAPI knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with distributed CRUD functionality in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Comfortable or interested in mastering Golang, Java, and TypeScript.
• Effective use of AI tools for development.

Workplace and Benefits:

• Hybrid work model (4 days a week at Palo Alto office).

Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $265,000 annually, with variable pay, equity, and benefits based on role factors.
