About the Role

Were looking for a Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing team. This role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally within 12 hours) of our office hubs in London. We embrace flexibility in where and how work gets done and also value meaningful in-person moments to connect and collaborate. You can expect a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings at your closest office for team connection, planning, or other key moments.

Within Tripadvisor Experiences we have a fun and friendly environment where the key objective is getting things done. Working closely alongside product managers and designers, our engineers are part of the full process from software design, to code, to test, to deployment and back again. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days and we have a daily release cycle.

What You'll Do

At Tripadvisor Experiences, our Engineers are versatile problem-solvers who thrive on a wide range of technical challenges. This is a full-stack role where you'll primarily work on backend systems, with occasional front-end projects. You dont need to be a front-end expert if you're eager to learn, well support you on the job, and front-end skills wont be assessed during the interview process.

Our web stack includes Java, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, all running on AWS. While experience with every tool isn't required, strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language is essential.
