Software Engineer (x|f|m) AI

For the Process Automation Enablement department, we are looking for a Software Engineer (x|f|m) AI for Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH, who develops high-quality software and actively shapes how modern software development is implemented within the team.
In this role, strong software engineering expertise is combined with modern technologies such as .NET (C#), TypeScript, React, and microservices architectures to build scalable and maintainable software solutions. In addition, the role drives the introduction and effective use of AI-supported development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) within the team and acts as a catalyst for best practices and innovation in this field. Possible locations are Göttingen or Guxhagen.

• Drive theadoptionof AI-supporteddevelopmentpractices (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), definebestpractices, coachteammembers, and continuouslyimproveproductivity and developmentquality

• Gather, analyze, and definerequirementsfornew and complexsoftwaresolutions in alignmentwithproductmanagers, based on customerfeedback and in closecollaborationwith internal productdevelopmentteams

• Develop robust and maintainable softwaresystemsusingprototyping, clearsoftware design, and activeparticipation in design reviews

• Write clearlystructured, high-quality, and maintainable code optimizedforperformance and memoryefficiency

• Create comprehensive design, functional, and testdocumentationtoensuresoftwarequality

• Implement automatedtests at unit-test levelaswellaswithinnightlyregressiontestframeworks

• Ensurethe proper functioningofsoftware and hardwaresystems

What will convinceus

• A completeddegree in computerscience, engineering, or a comparablenaturalsciencefield

• At least 5 yearsofpracticalexperience in thedevelopmentofcommercialsoftwareproducts

• Strong developmentskillswithprovenexpertise in .NET (C#), TypeScript, React, and microservicesarchitectures

• Solid, provenknowledgeofobject-orientedsoftwaredevelopmentcombinedwith a collaborative team-orientedmindset

• Experience with modern softwareengineeringprocesses and methodsaswellas all phasesofthesoftwaredevelopmentlifecycle

• Experience withor strong interest in AI-supportedsoftwaredevelopmenttools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and theireffectiveuse in a professional environment

• Strong written and verbal communicationskills

• High levelof initiative and a strong resultsorientation

• Willingnessto support technical support teamsaswellasotherproductdevelopmentteamswhenneeded
