Job Summary
The Sr. Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share expansion for Becton Dickinson (BD) India Private Limited in Rajasthan. This role involves leading a team, developing strategic sales plans, and fostering strong customer relationships to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share objectives within the assigned territory.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to optimize individual and team productivity.
Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders, distributors, and large institutional customers (hospitals, diagnostic labs, research institutions) to understand their needs and position BD solutions effectively.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and refine sales approaches.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical support, and product management teams to ensure seamless customer experience and effective product launches.
Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant industry regulations.
Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Represent BD at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including distribution channels, key customers, and regulatory landscape.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
