As a Sterile Processing Specialist, you'll be a key member of the Medtronic Surgical Robotics Technologies Customer Success Field Organization, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Robotic Program Managers, and Training teams to implement the Hugo RAS Instruments and Accessories reprocessing program in hospital Sterilization Processing Departments (SPD).
A Day in the Life
- Provide advice to customers, dealers, distributors, and sales personnel on product-related questions and issues.
- Act as liaison between sales personnel and technical staff.
- Implement the Hugo RAS Instruments and Accessories reprocessing program in multiple hospitals within the assigned territory.
- Ensure SPD readiness prior to Hugo RAS installation, delivering sterile instruments before first cases.
- Deliver training to SPDs on instrument reprocessing requirements, steps, and outcomes.
- Support SPDs to ensure target use life through assessment and corrective actions.
- Track reprocessing deviations and escalate when necessary.
- Respond promptly to internal and external requests regarding cleaning, sterilization, and handling of Hugo RAS instruments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years experience, or Associate's Degree with 4+ years, or Baccalaureate/College Degree with 2+ years experience.
- Minimum 3 years continuous CBSPD/HSPA Certification with at least 4 years reprocessing experience (or equivalent).
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work early mornings and late afternoons up to 50% of the time.
- Must obtain hospital credentialing upon hiring.
- Strong understanding of AAMI standards and medical device reprocessing regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care facilities reprocessing complex reusable medical devices.
- Understanding of reprocessing/decontamination equipment and workflows.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage assignments involving multiple teams.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary range (U.S.): $57,600 - $86,400 USD per year. Eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
