Supervisor IT Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Supervise the activities of a team of IT professionals who provide technical support to the organisation's information systems to ensure these systems operate effectively and reliably.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the day-to-day activities of a team of IT professionals to ensure that the organisation’s information systems and hardware resources function reliably.

Activities of the team may include installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining a large system or several smaller systems.

Supervise team members.

Prioritise and assign tasks to ensure the team’s resources are used effectively and systems projects are implemented in accordance with project plans and budgets.

Communicate with system users to identify and resolve user problems.

Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members and check the quality of their work.
