The Supervisor of SDET leads and mentors a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs), responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of automated test frameworks, infrastructure, and best practices within the software delivery lifecycle. This role combines hands-on SDET work with team leadership, providing technical guidance, performance management, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement in automated testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Team Leadership & Mentorship (30%): Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a team of SDETs, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they adhere to best practices in test automation. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and address performance concerns.
Automation Framework Development & Maintenance (25%): Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test frameworks and tools. Lead efforts to enhance existing automation infrastructure and introduce new technologies as needed.
Test Strategy & Planning (20%): Collaborate with development, product owners, and Test Engineering Managers to define test strategies, establish test automation coverage goals, and advocate for quality initiatives. Develop and review test plans, automation approaches, and data strategies.
