Sysco LABS’ enterprise technology is present in the end-to-end foodservice journey, enabling the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network and the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer.

Responsibilities:

• Designinganddevelopingenterprise solutions for one of the world’s largest corporations

• Implementingdistributed andhighly availableenterprise applications that scale for enterprise demands

• Adheringto Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery ofsolutions

• Ensuringhigh code quality by following software engineering best practices

• Workingcollaborativelyina cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment

• Adheringto DevOps principles and beinginvolved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle:from development, QA, and deployment,to post-production support

Requirements:

• ABachelor’s Degree in Computer Scienceor equivalent,with 6+years of experience developingproductiongradeenterprise applications

• Extensive experience withthe Java/Spring-Bootstack, along with hands-on knowledge onRESTful APIs, microservices, performance optimizations, enterpriseintegrationprinciplesand modern deployment strategies (containerization principles)

• An in-depth understanding of relationaldatabases, schemadesignand SQL optimization;Knowledge onNoSQL databaseswould be an added advantage

• Strong understandingof data streaming concepts and related toolsets (Kafka), alongwith practicalexpertisein asynchronous processing, error handling, and root-cause analysis

• Hands-onexperience working withcloudplatforms (AWSpreferred), along with knowledge on serverless application development patterns

• Familiarity withLinux based systems,DevOps practices

• Knowledge on front-end development (React/Redux stack)would be beneficial

• Excellent communicationskills

• The ability to work well with a team and lead/groom junior members asrequired

• Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment

• Familiarity with Quality Engineering processesandpractices
