Job Summary
The Test PM Operator at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for executing preventative maintenance (PM) procedures on various test equipment to ensure optimal functionality, accuracy, and reliability within a manufacturing environment. This role contributes to minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on test equipment according to established procedures and checklists.
Calibrate and adjust test equipment to maintain specified operational parameters and accuracy standards.
Identify and report any malfunctions, deviations, or potential issues with test equipment during PM activities.
Document all maintenance activities, including tasks performed, parts replaced, and any observations or issues.
Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards during maintenance operations.
Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs of test equipment as needed.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize test equipment performance and reliability.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to test equipment maintenance.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or associate's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably with experience in test equipment or manufacturing environments.
Basic understanding of electronic circuits and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
Proficiency with common hand tools and basic test equipment (e.g., multimeters).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
