Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Migration Engineer / Architect to lead the assessment, planning and execution of complex infrastructure and Active Directory migrations across a diverse European estate.
This is a remote-first role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple environments and technologies, with planned travel across Europe (~15 - 20%) depending on project phase.
You'll play a key role in identifying risks early, shaping migration strategies, and ensuring smooth delivery across client environments..
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work with the Transformation Lead and technology colleagues to define and plan the migration of local technical services to the centralized platforms and service offeringsAnalyse the source environment and assist the local site directly with the planning and execution of remediation tasks - i.e. implementation steps, risk appreciation & mitigation, etc.Assist migration project managers in identifying and planning technical tasks as well as identifying risks and issues that may impact the projectPartake in risk management reviews and advise on mitigation plansContribute to technical migration plans and task lists in association with project managers and technical colleaguesCoordinate technical tasks between operating companies' technical teams, central IT colleagues and relevant third party suppliersSupport users during migration activities to ensure smooth transitions when moving from local to centralized servicesContribute to specific communications to business teams regarding migration steps and business responsibilitiesAttend onsite at locations (in Europe and UK) as required during the project including early discovery phase, planning, implementation and remediation activitiesDocument the current state of sites' infrastructure including server state, network topology and work with local IT teams to identify application owners and support suppliersWork with the internal technical architects to advise on technical requirementsIndividual Competencies

Assess and analyse source environments and define migration and remediation strategiesLead technical planning and execution of infrastructure and Active Directory migrationsIdentify risks, dependencies, and remediation requirements early in the lifecycleWork closely with client stakeholders and project teams to ensure smooth deliveryWork with technical service owners, architects and third parties to design and implement solutions across:Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO, authentication, PKI)Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure)Firewall configuration and security controlsNetworking (VLANs, routing, IP, LAN/WAN)Support server and application migration planning and executionOperate within structured change and release environments (ITIL-aligned)Language: English (Fluent). Desirable: Second European Language (preferred)Experience / Education
