Role: User Researcher
Location: Newcastle
Hybrid Working: This role requires working from the Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.
As a User Researcher, you will work with creative and passionate UX Design specialists responsible for creating user-centred designs for digital products and services.
This is an opportunity to work across multiple clients in various industries and champion User-Centred Design across all products and services as part of delivery best practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, recruiting, and conducting user research sessions supporting digital client services and projects.
- Manage the research process including recruitment briefs, session conduct (remote or face-to-face), session analysis, report writing, and playback to teams and stakeholders.
- Align user research activities to influence and support decision making.
- Collaborate with product owners and service managers to devise effective research strategies generating focused insights.
- Convert concepts and findings into high-quality stimulus material.
- Work closely with designers and developers to translate user data into actionable requirements influencing product direction.
- Participate as part of Agile delivery teams, advocating user needs and addressing client issues.
- Collaborate within the UX & Design Team to share knowledge, learn, and design transformational services.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Relevant experience as a User Researcher.
- Experience as part of an Agile Scrum team.
- Strong advocacy for users throughout the design process.
- Beneficial experience with GDS standards.
Preferred:
- Portfolio showcasing User Journeys, Personas, User Research, Prototyping, User Testing, and User Interface Design.
