Are you a highly organized, client-focused individual with a passion for animals and exceptional service?
We are currently hiring for a Veterinary Reception, Client Care position at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre to join our dedicated team at our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital.
Key responsibilities;
Welcoming clients and patients in a warm, professional manner
Managing check-ins, check-outs, and appointment scheduling in our in-house scheduling system; training provided
Handling incoming calls through our multiline system
Prioritizing emails and client inquiries efficiently
Coordinating communication between medical teams, specialty services and the referring community
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth administrative flow for standard operating procedures
Supporting the team in delivering exceptional emergency and specialty care to our clients and patients
Qualifications;
2+ years of experience as a receptionist or front desk in human or veterinary medicine.
A professional and calm demeanour when assisting clients with questions, requests, or sensitive information
Experienced with booking medical appointments and locating schedules within the system for: rebooking patients, booking new appointments and urgent appointments
Strong knowledge of electronic medical records; training is provided for our in-house system
Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe)
Previous knowledge of Moneris POS terminals is an asset
Strong attention to detail & accuracy when recording and relaying information
