All about the role:
Reporting to the Head of Industrial Engineering, the Work Organization Manager plays a pivotal role in driving productivity improvements across our manufacturing plants in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific).
This role acts as a central engine for optimizing labor efficiency, with a strong focus on direct and indirect blue-collar workforce productivity, which represent key cost drivers in manufacturing operations.
You will lead a team of specialists and collaborate closely with plant leadership, engineering, and central functions to design, standardize, and implement best-in-class work organization practices. Leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles and MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) methodology, you will ensure consistent, efficient, and scalable production processes across multiple sites.
What you’ll do:
Lead work organization and productivity optimization across manufacturing operations by calculating takt and cycle times, improving line balancing, and monitoring direct and indirect labor efficiency, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
Define and standardize work processes and methodologies, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Charts, and Job Breakdown Sheets, ensuring consistency and scalability across plants.
Design and continuously improve workstations and assembly layouts, integrating ergonomic principles, environmental considerations, and Lean Manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and safety.
Drive the Work Organization pillar within WCM (World Class Manufacturing), ensuring full implementation and adherence to internal work organization standards, tools, and processes, including regular audits.
Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives, identifying opportunities for productivity gains, cost optimization, and operational excellence across assembly processes.
Collaborate with plant teams and stakeholders, including Trade Unions, to present and implement new working layouts and organization models, ensuring alignment and smooth execution.
Define and support annual productivity planning and budgeting, providing key inputs and tracking performance against targets.
Ensure compliance with EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) standards, labor regulations, and internal guidelines in all work organization activities.
Develop organizational capabilities by delivering training on standard work procedures and updated methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field), providing a solid technical foundation in manufacturing and industrial processes
10 - 15 years of experience in industrial engineering, work organization, or manufacturing excellence within complex, high-volume production environments (e.g., automotive, white goods, or similar industries)
Strong expertise in:
Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Time & methods analysis with practical application in production environments
MTM (Methods-Time Measurement), supported by certification
Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on efficiency, standardization, and operational excellence, and the ability to act as a change agent
